Maybe you have already watched a lot of makeup tutorials, but still can’t achieve your desired look. If you’re doing your makeup, you have to consider your face shape. Here are some tips for different face shapes.
If you have an oblong shaped face, you can make it look oval. Making your brows a bit arched will help you achieve this look. Curl your eyelashes before and after using mascara to make it look more dramatic. You can also use darker false lashes. Apply a rosy darker shade to the apples of your cheeks and a pinkish shade in the sucked-in area of your cheeks. You can make your face look fuller by applying a rosy pink lipstick. Use a bronzer to minimize the sharp edges of your face. Don’t use shadow on the sides of your nose. Sweep the top of your nose bone with a bronzer.
You can apply bronze beneath your jaw line and to your temples to make your face look oval. Highlight your chin, forehead and the area under your eyes to draw attention to the center of the face. Apply a blush beneath the cheekbones or apply it to the apples of the cheeks to emphasize their shape. Use upward strokes when applying the blush to make your face look elongated.
You have to make your face appear more elongated to reduce its oval effect. Apply foundation first and then apply some bronzer in between your first finger and thumb. Apply it to the sides of your nose from top to bottom to give it a shadow effect. Don’t apply bronzer to the top of your nose. Follow the natural shape of your brow bones. Choose to highlight only one feature. It is either your eyes or your lips. Suck in your cheeks and apply blush to the contours. You can also apply blush to the sides of your chin.
Use a highlighting powder or a lighter liquid foundation to bring attention to the center of your face. Apply the foundation to the bridge of your nose, the center of the chin and forehead. Apply a slightly darker foundation or bronzing powder to the tip of your chin, the underside of your cheekbones and the peak of your forehead to reduce its width and give your face a more proportionate look.
You can emphasize certain features to balance your face shape. Apply a darker shade of foundation or a bronzer to the bottom of your chin and along the sides of your temples. You can also use a highlighting powder on the top of your nose. Apply a bronzer to the sides of your nose and apply a subtle shade of blush to add color to the apples of the cheeks. You can trace the hollows of your cheeks using a bronzer to contour your cheekbones. Apply a high-shine gloss or lip plumper and bold lip color to emphasize your lips. Use lighter shades for your eyeshadow.
Follow these tips, and you will definitely achieve your desired look.
