40+ Funny And Amazing Sculptures That Perfectly Interact With The World Around Them

40+ Funny And Amazing Sculptures That Perfectly Interact With The World Around Them

John Travis
Most sculptures around cities are, let's face it, pretty forgettable. No disrespect to the artists of course (we can't do what you do!) but they more often than not fail to make an impression on us. Then, every once in a while, you see that one statue that's so perfect, so clever, so dang funny that you're thinking about it for days! That's what this list is, the best, not to mention the most hilarious statues, seen in cities throughout the world. Check out this list, and see if you've seen any of these sculptures in real life as well.

1. Unleash Your Inner Child

Have you ever behaved like a child in front of your crush? Or did you start to cry like a child after losing a few online games with your friend? Well, we all have a child inside who only comes out in front of the person we love or are most comfortable with.
Unleash Your Inner Child

This work by Alexander Milov is named "Love" as it shows the inner children trapped inside adult bodies.

2. The Superhero Within You

Oh, this is so cool. This is an electrifying sculpture by Paige Bradley from New York, USA.
The Superhero Within You
Paige Bradley
At first, it seems like someone made a sculpture of a superhero that uses electricity. The cracks in the body show that sometimes you have to endure hardships to let the light within you get out.

3. Caught In The Act

One thing we know for sure that when the sculptor made this statue, they had no idea what some people would do with it.
Caught In The Act
But there you have it, some people get pretty creative with great statues that they find when visiting new places.

4. Want To Live Inside A Giant Sculpture?

This giant 16th-century sculpture is Colosso dell'Appennino (Gigante dell'Appennino) in Florence, Italy.

It was made by a renowned Italian sculptor Giambologna in the late 1500s. This 35 feet tall mountain god has several rooms inside it. We recommend that you go visit this mountain god when you get a chance.

5. A Fairy That Takes Your Breath Away

This dramatic fairy sculpture dancing with a dandelion is out of this world. It is the work of Robin Wight, a UK-based sculptor.

It is so fabulous that we have to admit this dynamic and enchanting fairy sculpture can take anyone's breath away and even make you believe in fairytales.

6. Superman's Greatest Weakness

If you thought Superman's greatest weakness is kryptonite, then you were so wrong. In reality, Superman's weakness is a clown on a unicycle.
Superman's Greatest Weakness
Or maybe this sculpture is made of kryptonite. This might be the next Superman vs. The Joker fight scene.

7. Is That Mother Nature Trying To Take Her Planet Back?

This is called The Force of Nature by Lorenzo Quinn (not related to Harley Quinn in any way whatsoever). This sculpture is showing how Mother Nature is rotating. Quinn saw how a hurricane ravaged Thailand's coast and decided to create a sculpture dedicated to Mother Nature.

By the way, you can find slightly different versions of this amazing sculpture around the world, like in the United States, England, Singapore, and Monaco.

8. Sculptures From Silent Hill?

If you're a fan of the Silent Hill video games, then you may have felt this sculpture is related to them. But that is not the case here.

"I Miss Pooping On People"
If this pigeon were for real, we can imagine how much it would've enjoyed pooping on cars and people going to work.

10. Spirit Leading From The Front

Hey, itsn't that Spirit the Kiger Mustang stallion from the 2002 American adventure film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron? Kids of the '90s must feel nostalgic after seeing the title of this photo. After all, we loved the film so much that we see Spirit in every horse we see out there.

If you haven't watched the 2002 film that was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, stop everything you’re doing and watch it. By the way, these sculptures are called Mustangs by Robert Glen from the USA.

11. Works Like a Charm

We don’t know what sort of drug deal is going on there, but it seems like everything is going as planned.
Works Like a Charm
Or maybe it is a low-budget spy movie in which this guy is paying someone money for a top-secret or something.

12. Is That a "Palm" Tree?

We saw the opportunity and "palmed" it straightaway to come up with the title. You should try doing it in the future.
Is That a "Palm" Tree?
This is The Caring Hand in Switzerland and we absolutely loved it. A helping hand can play a big role in the success of a person. A great message!

13. Dementor, Is That You?

This sculpture called Black Ghost in Klaipeda, Lithuania, although it looks a lot like one of the dementors from Happy Potter (yeah, those dark creatures that drain happiness and hope from humans).
Dementor, Is That You?
On second thought, it does look a lot like Ringwraith from the Lord of The Rings. What do you think about it? We're feeling a bit confused.

14. Don't Mess With The Cupid

The Cupid is like, "You wanted to have a photo taken so you could make fun of me? You messed with the wrong baby baldy."
Don't Mess With The Cupid
The fear in the eyes of that guy is legit. 10 out of 10 marks for making it feel so real.

15. Another Reason To Visit Romania

Romania is home to breathtaking nature as the varied landscape, snow-capped mountains, and sandy Black Sea beaches make it a perfect place to visit.
Another Reason To Visit Romania

16. Long Live The King: Rabbit Version

Although it is cute to see a toddler helping a rabbit, we thought of something else after seeing this adorable photo.

17. Is This A Scene From The Movie Rain Man?

This sculpture by Jean-Michel Folon is called The Rain Man. A super dramatic teen will be like, "I cry in the rain so no one can see my tears."

My Modern Met
It is made smaller in a way that it looks like the staircase goes on and on.

22. Seabed Vicissitudes

This vicissitudes by Jason de Caires Taylor in Grenada, West Indies, depicts a powerful message. "Vicissitudes” is a large circle of figures shackled together and holding hands off the coast of Grenada in the Caribbean.

This is an epic 1,320-ton God of War statue in China and boy o boy, it is massive and a bit scary.

36. Bugs Bunny vs. Elmer Fudd

Why does it look like Elmer Fudd's knotted gun, which he used to try and hunt Bugs Bunny? On second thought, it reminds us of Hagrid in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States).
Bugs Bunny vs. Elmer Fudd
Non Violence
By the way, this statue is advocating for non-violence. We loved this one and there are currently 16 copies of this sculpture around the world.

37. Just Portland Things

This salmon sculpture in Portland, Oregon, looks like a fun idea. And the brickwork seems a little too nice and tidy for the effect it is trying to achieve, doesn't it?
